I have never been a health nut. At least not for more that a few short spurts throughout my life. I love junk food, and am mostly too lazy or exhausted to excercise regularly.
Due to bad genes (yes, I have a medical confirmation on this), my hip joints began to severely deteriorate when I was about 36. Which led to both hips being replaced when I was 41.
Now, almost 3 years late, my hips are doing great. It's the rest of me that I am more concerned with.
Since my surgeries, I have noticed a direct corelation between what I eat and how I feel.
Eating unhealthy foods (ie. sugar / salt / MSG / high-fat / fried food) = stiff and sore joints, and often waking up feeling kind of hung over, even though I do not drink alcohol
Eating healthy foods (ie. vegetables / grains / organic / high fiber etc...) = less stiffness, more energy, waking up feeling rested.
I am turning 44 in July, and would love to feel better than I do now.
This is my daily journal of what I am doing to achieve that goal.
